Shervin Ghaemmaghami is a Senior Associate with Polaris Venture Partners where he focuses on investments in Energy and Media.

Experience:
Shervin was a management consultant at McKinsey and Company from 2001-2006 – based in the Middle East and the US. In addition to serving clients in the Private Equity and Energy sectors, he also worked extensively with global non-profit and public sector organizations. Projects included vaccine development in Asia, economic reform in the Middle East and microfinance in Africa.

Shervin has worked as an Equity Research Analyst covering the Energy, Oil and Mining sectors at JP Morgan in London and has also worked for the Commission on Sustainable Development at the United Nations in New York.

He was more recently the Group Director of Strategy at Atlantic Media (parent company of The Atlantic) where he oversaw corporate investments and acquisitions.

Education:
Shervin obtained a MEng and BA (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
